Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your use of the WalkBuddy app, website, and related services. By using WalkBuddy, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

Use of WalkBuddy

WalkBuddy is a dog walking companion app that helps users track walks, build routines, and manage app activity. You are responsible for using the app safely, supervising your dog, staying aware of your surroundings, and following local laws and park, leash, traffic, and animal safety rules.

Health and Safety

WalkBuddy provides general walking insights for informational and motivational purposes only. It is not medical, veterinary, emergency, training, nutrition, or safety advice and does not replace professional care. If your dog has a health condition, injury, unusual behavior, or exercise restrictions, consult a qualified veterinarian or professional before relying on any walking routine.

Accounts

You may need an account to use some features. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Subscriptions, Trials, and Purchases

Paid subscriptions and lifetime access, when offered, are billed through the App Store or the marketplace where the purchase is completed. Subscription pricing, trial eligibility, renewal timing, cancellation, taxes, and refunds are shown and managed by that marketplace before purchase.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled according to App Store rules.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings.
• Deleting the app or deleting your WalkBuddy account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription.
• Refund requests are handled by Apple under App Store policies.

Location, GPS, and Activity Accuracy

GPS routes, distance, pace, human step count, estimated dog steps, and progress scores are estimates and may be inaccurate because of device sensors, terrain, signal quality, dog size, stride assumptions, user inputs, or app state. Do not rely on WalkBuddy for safety-critical navigation, medical decisions, veterinary decisions, or emergency response.

User Content

You may upload dog photos, profile details, and other content. You represent that you have the rights needed to provide that content and grant WalkBuddy a limited license to host, process, display, modify, and use it to provide app features, including optional avatar or illustration generation.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse WalkBuddy, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, upload unlawful or harmful content, reverse engineer the app except where law permits, or use WalkBuddy in a way that violates rights, laws, or marketplace rules.

Intellectual Property

WalkBuddy, including the app, website, software, artwork, design, branding, and content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of WalkBuddy to you.

App Store Terms

When you download WalkBuddy from Apple, Apple's App Store terms also apply. Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for WalkBuddy, except as required by applicable law. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms for iOS users.

Disclaimers

WalkBuddy is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or suitable for every dog, route, user, or circumstance.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WalkBuddy and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or use. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so some limits may not apply to you.

Changes and Termination

We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of WalkBuddy and may update these terms from time to time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk, or misuse the service.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules, unless applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.
